| Pound Hill Software Updates MetaGrove Dialog for IPTC Photo Metadata

| Pound Hill Software, a leading developer of metadata software tools, has updated its MetaGrove dialog for IPTC Photo Metadata. This schema was first released July 2008. This update contains changes published in the July 2010 Update to the IPTC Photo Metadata Specification. MetaGrove is a software suite of products that provides custom XMP metadata capabilities to users of Adobe Creative Suite CS2 and CS3.

| IPTC Photo Metadata is focused on image metadata in the newspaper publishing industry.
It combines IPTC Core which includes selected Photoshop, Dublin Core, and XMP Rights, with the IPTC Extended which includes selected PLUS License Data Format properties.

| The MetaGrove IPTC Photo Metadata dialog is compliant with released specification dated July 8, 2010. Support of Dublin Core Creator was extended from only the first entry in the list, to all entries in the list. The PLUS Image Supplier Image ID property was added. Digital Image Identifier is now read-only. Controlled Vocabulary Term has been removed.
The unique benefits of the MetaGrove dialog are 1) complete support for the two dimensional XMP arrays and 2) pull down vocabularies for IPTC Subject Code and IPTC Scene Code lists. These vocabularies display the human readable meaning for the numeric codes that are stored in the metadata. The MetaGrove dialog is compatible with the CS5 File Info IPTC and IPTC Extension panel and the IPTC-PLUS Photo Metadata Bridge panel (CS3-CS5). Unlike those tools which segragate IPTC Core and IPTC Extension, the MetaGrove IPTC Photo Metadatadialog integrates them, keeping related fields adjacent.
