Pound Hill Software, a leading developer of metadata software tools, has updated its PRISM Metadata for Images dialog (pmi) to match version 1.0 release candidate. MetaGrove is a software suite of products that provides custom XMP metadata capabilities to users of Adobe Creative Suite CS2 and CS3.

PRISM Metadata for Images is a subset of the PRISM standard focused on managing digital images within a publisher's operation from initial photo assignment, image submission, production, archive, reuse and aggregation.

The PRISM metadata model is architected for implementations in XML, RDF, and XMP.

The PMI_layout.pdf download is a an outline of the 34 XMP (root) properties and 100 nested sub properties that comprise PRISM Metadata for Images. It is derived from the PRISM Metadata for Images Guide, corresponding Namespace Document and .xsd (for XML) as well as the five other released PRISM 2.1 documents referenced.

Companion Adobe File Info panels are also provided for viewing the PRISM Metadata for Images in Bridge, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat. File Info can only display the 100 nested sub properties. The six custom File Info v1.0 panels are for CS through CS3 applications, and Acrobat through v10. The four custom (File Info v3.0) Metadata Panes operate in Bridge CS4 and CS5.
